Nine Chronicles is a **free to play**, **decentralized**, **open-source**, **serverless** Role Playing Game powered by the players.

Every action that is made by players in the Nine Chronicles ecosystem lives on the [blockchain](https://planetarium.gitbook.io/nine-chronicles-1/technology) that the [Planetarium](https://planetarium.gitbook.io/nine-chronicles-1/team) development team has created and is sustained by the player-base. Every in-game [item ](https://planetarium.gitbook.io/nine-chronicles-1/game-overview/items)is a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) that lives on the blockchain.

The Nine Chronicles development team strongly believes in a future where players have true ownership over their in-game items regardless of centralized decisions made by a single entity.
