# Introduction

Nine Chronicles is a decentralized MMO idle RPG, that runs on it’s own blockchain.

Every single equipable item in the game is a NFT and it was crafted by a player.
The game is free to play all the way - there is no content limited by any acquisitions - but you need to get strong enough to unlock it.
All the game code is open source and external developers are welcomed to participate in the game - there are also significant grants for them to apply to.
